Tweet for Breast Health

Greetings, fellow social media minions.  There certainly has been a lot of information passed around about breast cancer this month and although I love a good retweet, I appreciate authentic tweets beacause they are not so easy to find these days.

Since it is breast cancer awareness month I wanted to highlight some interesting tweeple with interesting and informative tweets regarding breast cancer.

These are just my personal favorites,  eHealthInsurance as a company does not endorse any of the following:

Bella_Marchesa: “Pink Not Just for Women, Men Die From Breast #Cancer, Too” –I guess we’ve heard this before but it’s a good reminder in the midst of all the pink-ness.

labancity: “Pink News: Be aware of radiation-induced breast cancer risk – Food Consumer” –This is probably equally un-nerving for all of us, male or female.

bbAbdullah: ”If you are overweight, you can seek to lose excess pounds, which may reduce your risk of breast cancer. Lower your risk” –This guy tweets about health related topics.  Losing weight to reduce your risk of breast cancer is good motivation to lose weight!

butterflysnbeesMoms Can Still Breastfeed After Breast Cancer”  –Great new information regarding breastfeeding and in this post, breastfeeding after breast cancer.

MomExaminerBreastfeeding reduces a woman’s risk of breast cancer by as much as fifty nine percent -Examiner.com –59%? I knew it helped but to see a percentage paired with that statement is amazingly good news. She also tweets on all things mom.

And if you’re in the following mood, don’t forget this one: @komenforthecure. It is a great way to keep up on the latest with the cause no matter what month it is.
